Life Ain’t A Game Bartender: "Hey, wha'chu' want man?" Atiim: "Oh, just give me one of those right there, man. An IPA. That's what I'm talking about. You only live once." In this time that I’m living I’m giving all that I got, I only live once. “So do it baby boy, don’t stop”. To reach the top, I have to persevere through struggles with strife. Living my life. Shake and blowing, now I’m rolling out dice. I take a chance. Never will I be fool proof. I have to shatter these glass ceilings and burn the roof. To test my wings, I have to take a leap of faith, and understand that I might fall flat on my face. (Whatever the odds) As long as I’m doing my best, I stand a better chance at passing my own life’s test. I invest all my best into my plotted out goals and swim against the current tired, but fired up fa show. I can’t stop until I’m dead in my grave. And I refuse to lose or bow down and be a slave. stop until I’m dead in my grave. And I refuse to lose or bow down and be a slave. Chorus: If anybody wanted to know, about just how far you need to go.... Go all the way, cause there might not be another day. Life Ain't A Game Life Ain't A Game Life Ain't A Game Patna jump off your high horse. Get the ass off your shoulders and listen here. No fears! No tears! You got to get a plan, stand and stare in the face of death. Even if this means your last breathe. This test, you invest your best energy and time, don’t stress. Everything’s for a reason, all the reasons serve a bigger flick. For the benefit of a goal, in the night time when there’s no… Sunshine on mine, 5N’Dime, Outsidahz, I’m a ridah. In God I trust flap until I fly. Dust to dust. Do or die trying. Aspiring to live high. I just don’t mean smoking dosha and trying to get by, But find a recipe and bake your own pie; Take your own time. The ground is really the sky. Hurricane, when they touch we doin it live. Survive through the everyday fight, Now I hold on tight. I would love to see the sunlight in my lifetime. Chorus: If anybody wanted to know, about just how far you need to go.... Go all the way, cause there might not be another day. Life Ain't A Game Life Ain't A Game Life Ain't A Game While I’m running in this rat race some call life, I think about the many problems. Am I doing it right? I can’t stop to worry, I hurry up and pray. I do unto others how I want to get done today. I pace myself, and focus on the goals I set, and tune everything irrelevant out to get… Closer to my destinations under pressure I chose, to never, no matter the weather, give it up and lose. I set a pace in the face of despairs. Say a prayer and leave it alone. And get gone if I’m right or I’m wrong. I keep doing till my wheels fall off. And I got to be about my plotted out plans; And comprehend that I’m only a man. Then I stand! “But how do you do what you do in a day?” I don’t bullshit and I ain’t got time to play; shoot the breeze; call a heez; or romance the pain. It’s plain and simple baby-boy, Life ain’t a game! You can do it how you want to. Go'head do it how you need to.

Life Ain’t A Game Chorus: “Say bra, word is you got some serious game” Check this out homeboy, to say that I got game is to imply that I’m a player. In this time that I’m living I’m giving all that I got, You only live once. “So do it baby boy, don’t stop”. To reach the top, I have to persevere through struggles with strife. Living my life. Get the ass off your shoulders and listen here. No fears! No tears! You got to get a plan, stand and stare in the face of death. Even if this means your last breathe. Chorus 1: The wind blows, the leaves flow, the world goes, round and round. The Sun Comes up… the Moon goes down. The wind blows, the leaves flow, the world goes, round and round. The Moon up… the Sun goes down. (the world goes round and round… Moons up… Sun goes down) Verse 1: The winds blow… Leaves fall from family trees. Birds and the bees. New seeds, and seasons change things. Light to night… Wrong to right… We’re caught in a globe doing a dance… There’s a knock!!! Here’s your chance! Romance the pain, or take a chance to gain. You don’t have to strain, just follow your heart, and use your brain. Stained souls hold guilty chains. Let it go, and give it up… that’s eternal flames. Everybodies capable of transforming their scripts… Water damage to manage… and sometimes they rip. Sip! from this cup… Flesh of my flesh… Blood of my blood… There’s a rainbow at the end of the flood. Dirt turns to mud… Mud feeds the seeds… Roots sprout up with new routes, but can you believe? Check your bags at the door, then come on in. After wiping your feet… we’re gon’ do it again. Chorus 2: 1x (everything changes… all you have to do is stay focused… The wind blows, and… everything changes.) Verse 2: I DO’s mean I will, till they’re fed up now. They throw in the towel… Leaving with child… saying it proud! Wow! Committed to themselves, and nobody else… Selfish. Once I believed that pretty girl was selfless. Maybe it’s for the better, or maybe not… Who knows? I’ll tell you one thing, I was fight Life with Judo! Karate chops and back flips to Meditate… Tai Chi now… I’m getting ready here to levitate. Inhale… exhale…the bad to the good. No more knocking on wood… (instead I’m) Walking in faith like I should. Letting it go… and if it boomerangs back… (I’ll) call it Life’s tax. Chorus 3: 1x (Arms are too short to box with God… You gotta’ let it all go. Everythang’ changes. You think you gon’ do it?) Verse 3: The wind blows… seeds get sowed… paper folds… finger tips lose grip… some let go… Letting the pressure cook books of story lines. Plots get shot down… Goals get paralyzed… Walking in a valley of ‘Grim Reap’… The peepers move first! Waiting for a chance to quench their thirst. Burst, like a water balloon in hard times… waiting for a new leaf’s flip… stripped of all shine. And at a drop of a dime… ready to unload! Fatigued with thoughts of greed! Minds deletes souls! The Moon vanishes… Suns appear… One mark on the wall, but he’s got 24 more years… Couldn’t wait for a knock at the door… He’s gotta’ have it now. Rags to body-bags… A ghetto child. Lost like the leaves that flow by… A tatted cry… Stuck in a wasteland game-plan… Now time flies. Chorus 4: (Think this things set up for you to survive? It’s supposed to change. If you ain’t trying the help the process of change… you get blown like those leaves.)

about

This single was born in the Backyard Entertainment Studios with Tunemaster, aka D-Jones, in Indianapolis, Indiana, later to be revamped. The poetry was written many moons ago, and made its way to a Tunemaster track, where it now lives. Later, Kosta Cross took the vocal stems and produced his dynamic dance version, only to be followed up by a rebooted version written and produced at Whoville Studios in Berkeley, CA in January 2016.

Though this song has finally found its way to your ears, the message is as fresh as every day, Life Ain't A Game.

The Artwork is by artist, Jack Eastgate of EastRand Studios in Oakland, CA.
